So I went to the convention here in Sac Yesterday to get some stuff and meet Ken Foree (Dawn Of The Dead)

I see Ken right away and he gives me a big greeting. We talk for a little bit and I asked him some questions about the original "Dawn" what he thought of the remmake, and some questions about the "House Of 1000 Corpses sequel...So I talk with him and get my pic taken with him and tell him I would be back to talk with him some more if he didnt mind...he didnt mind at all and off I went..

Soo..I hit this table and find some good flicks (Shaun Of The Dead, The "Dawn" remake screener, "Ju-On The Grudge" and "Ju-On" Grudge 2) and then I see them....

    THE INFERNAL PARADE!!!

The guy was selling the whole set for a atrocious price, and I begged and pleaded with him to sell me three (Bethany, Mary Slaughter, and Oddities In A Jar AKA "Dr Fetters Freaks) and he said if I came back at 3 PM and he didnt sell them he would break the set and sell me the three..So I take my movies and head back to Ken.....

No one was there, so we started talking again, and we talked about everything from his past projects, upcoming, family, sports, music, stuff that happens at other conventions, you name it we talked about it. I also asked him about the possibility of his charecter from Dawn being A Figure, and asked if McFarlane would be a possibility, and he said if he hears something, he would for sure listen. He praised McFarlane highly, and said he make excellent stuff. It was also amazing to see other fans come up with some stuff they had (Albums from the Dawn Soundtrack, old posters, illustrations, a movie mag from the first Dawn among many other things) By then Ken and I had conversed for 3 hours. What a excellent time. I had to head to work and Ken thanked me for spending time with him, and said that If he could stick around and take me out to dinner, he could along with some of the other fans who where there who also spent time with him..Awesome.

Sooo..I head to the guy and the set was not sold...I told him I wanted those really bad and he said the reason he was selling them so high cause he was the only person in there with the set (which was true) sooo..I told him I really wanted those and he gave me all three for $30.

I haven't opened them yet, but now being I have a digital...I will show them off with the rest of my collection, drum set, and my residence!! YAY!!!! Also up and I will share will be my pic of me and Ken. I would like to thank him again for a great time...I'm still jacked...

Sorry for the detail, but if you read all this you rule!! I had to share...

Wow man, sounds like a really great time. I have never met Ken, but have always heard he was a really nice guy. Hopefully one day our paths will cross.
